By odds24

England v new Zealand is always an exciting fisture. The England head coach has made three changes for the side that beat South Africa last weekend and brings back Ashton for his first start in four years.

The other changes that Jones makes see Exeter’s Ben Moon and Bath’s Sam Underhill back in at the expense of Tom Curry, who is injured, Alec Hepburn and Jack Nowell. Manu Tuilaga missed out on a place in the matchday squad.

Ashton has made 40 appearances for England and scored a try in England’s last win over the All Blacks in 2012.

He has only made one appearance for his new club Sale, who he joined in the summer from Toulon, scoring a hat-trick in the Sharks win over Connacht in the European Rugby Challenge Cup last month.

Jones meanwhile has been speaking about the prospect of taking on the world champions at the weekend and aiming for a first win against them in six years.

“It’s been a good week, the players have recovered well, trained well on Tuesday, exceptionally well on Wednesday and we look forward to the challenge of taking on New Zealand on Saturday.”

England beat South Africa last weekend and, after the All Blacks, face further games against Japan and Australia on successive Saturdays.
