Wimbledon 2018 is hotting up as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are through to the quarter-finals after all securing straight-sets victories on Monday.

The reigning SW19 champion Federer once again looks to be the man to beat after he managed to overcome France’s Adrian Mannarino 6-0 7-5 6-4.

Rafael Nadal will face the winner between Juan Martin del Potro and Gilles Simon, after the Spanish world number one beat Jiri Vesely 6-3 6-3 6-4.

Having had his injury problems in the past, Nadal looked like he was back to his best and admitted he is feeling good at the Grand Slam event.

“It is an important moment for me. I’m happy to be where I am and playing well,” he told BBC Sport.

“They have been four positive matches, I haven’t played on grass for a year and I’m hoping to keep enjoying it.”

Meanwhile three-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic made it to another quarter-final at the All England Club as he recorded a 6-4 6-2 6-2 victory over the Russian Karen Khachanov.

The Serbian star will next face Japan’s Kei Nishikori, while Canadian 13th seed Milos Raonic will meet American ninth seed John Isner.


Federer is 8/11 to win Wimbledon, with Nadal at 5/1 and Djokovic 4/1 to win the Grand Slam title.
