By odds24

Find below the latest 2018 Grand National Odds renamed the Randox Health Grand National (previously Crabbie’s).

One of the greatest horse races is once again upon us and the nation gets truly excited in a betting frenzy as people of all ages try to predict the winner based be it based on statistical logic or a nice sounding name.

This years race will be no different and people are always looking for as much information as possible to help them pick the winner or at least get an each way result.

There are a few ways to choose your horses :

The Grand National Odds 2018The Scientific Approach – generally reserved for racing geeks who will look at a number of different “metrics” like the horses weight, age, jockey, trainer . . .. .and based on all this data select two or three horses (dead certs of course) !

The Tipsters – these are the so-called “experts”, people who know racing based on their newspaper col inches and/or TV and radio pundits who could be retired jockey’s who know give their opinions based on mostly the scientific approach !

Pot Luck / Nice Name – most people however just select a horse based on mid-priced odds and/or the attraction to a name. There are some wacky names out and some resonate more so than others with people out there.

However looking at past winners below you’ll see that most of the winners have not been favourites, far from it. We’ve come up with this simple winning race picker formula for you to use :  pick a reasonable priced horse + a name that you like = your selection – Bingo !
